Mission Trips
Each year, IAM takes multiple trips to Haiti. Trips are taken for medical clinics, re-building efforts, youth retreats, and continuing education. Due to lodging and transportation issues, our trips are limited in the number of people we can take.
Trips to Haiti aren't like any vacation you've ever taken. You'll sleep in tents or on bunk beds. You'll have cold showers or spit baths depending on the availability of water. And your bathrooms won't be what you're used to. But trips to Haiti are special in their own way and if you go with the heart of a servant instead of the heart of a vacationer, you won't be disappointed.
Once you've decided that you'd like to attend a trip, you should apply for it as soon as possible before all the spots are filled. Applying does not ensure you a spot on a trip; all applications will be reviewed by the IAM Board of Directors for approval.
The following trips are currently being planned.
Building Trip October 10-16, 2011 People who attend this trip will help with re-building efforts in the Guibert area of Kenscoff, Haiti. Participants will fly to Miami and then into Port-au-Prince together on October 10th and will return on October 16th. Exact flights are yet to be determined.
This trip is limited to fifteen people. Participants should be construction oriented and/or physically able to do manual labor. All participants need a passport.
Trip costs have not been determined exactly, but are typically about $470 plus the cost of your airplane ticket. This cost includes your food, lodging, interpreters, travel insurance, transportation and gas. This fee is mandatory.
If you'd like to attend this trip, please fill out and print the forms on the right hand side of this page, then mail them to the address on the bottom of the form along with a brief testimony of your faith and three copies of your passport. Do not send any money at this time.
If you have any questions about this trip, please contact jwilson@intlalliedmissions.org.
Medical Trip January 22-29, 2011 People who attend this trip will help with a medical clinic in the Guibert area of Kenscoff, Haiti. Participants will fly to Miami and then into Port-au-Prince together on January 22nd and will return on January 29th. Exact flights are yet to be determined.
This trip is limited to fifteen people. Both medical and non-medical personnel are needed. Participants should be flexible with servant hearts as duties at the clinic vary greatly. All participants need a passport.
