Spirit of Truth Children's Homes There are no government sponsored orphanages in Haiti, which leads to children living on the streets with no way of taking care of themselves. Spirit of Truth operates two children's homes. The Guibert Home for Boys is home to 33 boys ranging in age from 18 months to 22 years. The Ferrier Home for Girls is home to 30 girls ranging in age from 3 to 20. Spirit of Truth has a policy of taking in only the children they can afford to properly care for. These children are loved, fed, educated, and taught the Word of God. Once they’ve finished high school, each child is sent to either university or trade school with the purpose of preparing them for a self-sustaining future in Haiti. Past orphans are working as police officers, mechanics, computer technicians and pastors, to name a few.
