Spirit of Truth leader, Jean Alix Paul, says that if God gives the vision He will also give the provision. When it's put that simply, it's hard to argue with.
For many years, both IAM and Pastor Paul have had a vision to build a hospital and permanent medical clinic in the mountainous region of Kenscoff, Haiti where medical treatment is scarce and unaffordable. While our yearly clinics are certainly helpful to the people in Kenscoff, we envision a permanent facility with a surgical suite, a pharmacy, and a hospital ward. We envision computer records, dentistry equipment, and vision testing. We envision a full-time staff providing continuing care for illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure which we are currently unable to treat. We envision not one or two yearly trips, but a constant cycle of medical staff treating those in need. We envision thousands of Haitians receiving medical care that is both trustworthy and affordable.
The first phase in this massive undertaking is to purchase the land needed to build the hospital. Pastor Jean Alix Paul believes he has found the perfect piece of land at a cost of $150K. To see this property on Google Earth, click HERE or go to coordinates 18L27'04.27"N / 72L17'20.10"W.
The second phase will be to build the hospital. We suspect this will cost at least $300K.
The third phase will be to stock the hospital with medicine, supplies, and equipment. While we plan to work with hospitals, clinics, and individual doctors across the United States to help us with used but still relevant equipment, we suspect this will also have a steep price tag.
We have none of the needed resources to build this amazing clinic and hospital that we envision. But we believe that it is God's vision and so with our mustard seed of faith we will tell the mountain to move and expect it to happen.
